So, Under My Skin tonight.
I thought the first 45 minutes of this episode were excellent. Watching House go through this terrible ordeal just broke my heart, but he asked Wilson for help and Wilson was there for him every step of the way. It was so sad when House called Wilson to come get him; he looked lost in the car ride home. Wilson's reaction when he found out House was hallucinating Amber was interesting, however. I expected a stronger reaction. I expected him to psychoanalyze the situation and lecture House, but he didn't. Instead, he showed compassion and concern for his friend. Yay Wilson!
Anne Dudek was so good! I totally enjoyed watching her torment House. I think I'm going to miss her when she's gone. Again.
The last 15 minutes SUCKED ASS. WTF HOUSE???? Turning to CUDDY instead of WILSON??? Wilson did everything House asked him to do to help him, but then House walks away from him and goes to Cuddy???? Sorry, that just totally pissed me off. When this episode ended, I felt disappointed. I felt cheated. And I feel angry. Granted, after seeing that "Huddy" promo from Fox and having to be subjected to the ensuing squeefest from the 14 year old fangirls made me a little apprehensive, but I went into it with an open mind and wasn't disappointed until the last quarter of the show. Unfortunately, that last quarter left a disgusting taste in my mouth. For the very first time EVER, I couldn't care less about next week and that just really, really, REALLY makes me sad.
Also, are we really supposed to believe he detoxed overnight? The level of Vicodin in his system was "way too high", yet in less than 24 hours he's all done? Seriously? Last time he detoxed it took him a week. After 24 hours he was doing pretty well. He was still functioning after 70 hours! (David Shore - don't you remember "Detox"? Fucking moron.)
Hugh rocked every one of his scenes, and it was a pleasure watching him, at least until the last 5 minutes.
This Huddy crap is going to kill the show.
I wish I could be more articulate, but I'm so unhappy right now that I can't think straight.

I was also confused as to why Wilson was there for him every step of the way but in the end he went to Cuddy. I think Wilson would have done an equally if not better job than Cuddy.
So basically what we found out was that Cuddy has been stalking House for 20 years.
Also I agree with you on the detox. I'm not even gonna go into it, I have to get to bed but the Fucking Moron comment is appropriate. Does he think we are idiots. You have smart viewers, get some smart writers.
Of course, Hugh was the best. I felt so sad for him, especially when he had to call Wilson.

Which makes the whole timeline even more ridiculous. If she was auditing a class where he was teaching, their 11-12 year age difference could be explained (if you squint a little). But if he "cheated" off her, then he would be a student and therefore the whole age/timeline is bullshit.
Hugh was spectacular, wasn't he? That whole detox scene (as implausible as it is) was just incredibly well done and utterly heartbreaking. The man is just incredible.

House hates appearing weak and although he reached out for Wilson, he was reluctant to show his weakest point to Wilson. Given some of Wilson's actions in the past, I don't blame him.
I like the fact that he called for Wilson. That broke my heart, he sounded so scared and lost. I love that Wilson was there for him.
I like that he reached out to Cuddy too. I thought it was a perfect balance. As for the sex- I remember during the Tritter arc when he cut himself and Cameron showed up and he made a comment to her about endorphins and alluded to having sex. So maybe that is what it was and a thank you to Cuddy for helping him.
I am not as unhappy about it all as I thought I was going to be. I even enjoyed the last bit because honestly, Hugh kissing a mule would be sexy to me. LOL :)

Even after sleeping on it, I still hate it. Loved the episode until then, but that last 15 minutes was horribly OOC and just plain wrong.

But This Huddy crap is going to kill the show. Couldn't agree more.

I actually found the Huddy/detox tolerable because HL was SO FUCKING GOOD, and Cuddy generally shut up. But creepy stalker!Cuddy is creepy. The more I think about it, the angrier I get that Cuddy was there. As fantastic as HL is, which is reallyreallyreally fantastic, he can't save Huddy for me.
I've decided I really don't like LE (bordering on hate) for a)thinking up that stupid backstory and b) pushing Huddy to the showrunners.
Althought, when you think about it, Cuddy being creepy over House in their first meeting kind of parallels House being creepy and bailing out a handsome, young stranger (Wilson!!!) Therefore, Cuddy feels about House the way House feels about Wilson.

Cuddy/LE is just gross. I really do not care at all for LE, and I really hate how she got to have input into this scene and backstory.
I hope this show redeems itself next week, because UMS left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I get more and more dissatisfied with the episode as time goes on. I don't know what it is, but it might be how GOOD my two other shows are getting, especially Lost. "The Constant" and "The Variable" should be required viewing for the entire planet, (JMHO, obviously, and the focus is on my two fave characters.)
I will say the scene with Amber in the restaurant was one of the most incredible (JMO, again) scenes the show has ever had. SO. FUCKING. CREEPY.
I love Amber. Why have House/Cuddy when you could have House/Amber?
I'm also waaaay pissed that the writers didn't throw in two lines about Wilson's disappearance. It just felt very forced, and maybe a little insulting.

Look at how infatuated DS was with Olivia Wilde and how much screen time she got because of it. He chose her over Anne Dudek, and I think he's realizing that he made a big mistake. Amber is way more interesting and fun to watch than Thirteen has ever been. AD has done an amazing job in the past few episodes. (Yes, that scene in the restaurant was very creepy! The writers hit a home run with that one!)
I am totally pissed off that they just dumped Wilson totally, without a word, in favor of Cuddy. If anything, BOTH Wilson and Cuddy should have been there for their friend. At least Cuddy wouldn't have been able to take advantage of House when he was at his lowest point. I never cared for her. Now she totally disgusts me.
The writing in this ep was good until the last 15 minutes. Then, they just threw everything into the shitter and flushed. There was no transition whatsoever; absolutely nothing to help us follow House's logic in turning away from Wilson in favor of Cuddy. You're right - it was insulting.
I'd love to know which monkey on crack thought it was a good idea to detox House overnight (with no lasting effects, NOT EVEN PAIN) and then have sex the next day. Seriously? WTF is wrong with them and WTF is wrong with DS allowing such a piss poor ending to this episode?
I keep hoping as the days go by that it will piss me off less and less, but it isn't working.

Seriously. You'd think if someone said "I'M HALLUCINATING YOUR DEAD GIRLFRIEND" they'd either say "WHY?!" or like..have a reaction in general. o.O
le sigh
