Yes. I've met and hung out with Dennis Dennis "Fergie" Frederiksen who was the lead singer for Toto on their "Isolation" album. Met and hung out with the late (and incredibly amazing) Brad Delp from the band Boston. Met Barry Goudreau, also of the band Boston. Hung out with Brian Maes and Tim Archibald (keyboards and bass for the band RTZ whose "leaders" were Brad Delp and Barry Goudreau) and who are now in the local band called Ernie and the Automatics. Met Peter Wolf (of J. Geils) on several occasions. Met a lot of local celebrities in an around the Boston area, some of which may be more famous than I am aware of (but not really worth mentioning just in case).
I met all these incredible people through my friend David, who played drums for all of these bands and/or worked in the studio with them. David was also a California Raisin; those of you who are on the higher side of 30-35 or so will remember them from their commercials during the 80's (they also released a CD).
I also briefly met David Whitworth from Earth, Wind and Fire at MGM Grand/Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut on New Year's Eve this year. He was heading to the hotel room to get ready for the concert. (Adorable!)
Robert Vaughn (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) came in to the store where I was an assistant manager back in the early 90's and hung out while his wife did some shopping. He was in town because one of his kids was in a hockey tournament in the Boston area.
