As you know, Hugh Laurie's 50th birthday is on June 11 and a couple of fans on LJ have come up with the idea of doing a Hugh Laurie Birthday Charity Drive. The basic idea behind it is to collect money for "Save The Children", the charity Hugh supports. cadeira has created this page with the possibility of making your donation. And right here you can find more information. So go there now! I think it's a great idea and hopefully many people will participate. It's nicer than sending candy canes to Hugh :-) Please feel free to spread this in your own LJs :-)

As much as I would love to donate, I am so broke I couldn't even pay my bus fare today. :(

But I have much love for the HL picture! Although, were he shirtless... Mmmmmm.

Awww. I sympathize. I've been there so many times it's not even funny. (I walked MILES to and from work when I lived in Glendale, CA because I was so poor. It sucked.)

It's not so bad because I've been borrowing (...taking) from my dad's pile o' change in his car, but that only gets you so far. Plus, my sister stole all the change to use for the parking meter, so I didn't have any. I did, however, look very pretty today. And the male bus driver let me get on the bus... hmmm. The great advantages of being a D-cup at 16 are endless!

(I'm not trying to be flippant, because money IS a serious issue, but SERIOUSLY. Bus driver guy was a creepy creep!)

It´s so cool people keep pimping this whole thing. But you know, we´re not only after your money ;-) Everybody can do SOMETHING creative if he or she wants to get other people to donate.
