However, now that I think about it, I don't recall reading anything that said that Kal was in any episodes beyond Simple Explanation. Maybe he was and I missed it. I was under the impression that his last scene was as a body lying in a pool of blood.

Yeah I don't think we'll be seeing Kutner in any form beyond "Simple Explanation". I get the feeling House is only gonna be seeing/hearing Amber.
