It's a very sweet photo. Hugh is really hugging Kal tight.
I remember right after those pictures came out was when there were rumors of a death on House. I immediately thought of that picture, and as time went on I became convinced that it was a goodbye picture because Kutner wasn't in the beach scenes. *sniff*
