Actually, the previous quiz wasn't from betagoddess; it was just a link from the quiz she posted.

I just got word that I will be taking the overnight shift tomorrow night at Otis AFB (down the Cape, or on Cape Cod for you non-New Englanders) with the Katrina refugees. Our commissioner (for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, where I work) has asked for volunteers to help out the 100+ refugees from New Orleans who are sheltered here.

I was just thinking that I wish I could do more for them, but I am totally broke and can't afford to send any money. I always donate new and used clothing, toys, furniture, etc. to the Salvation Army (weekly, it seems!), so I know I am helping in that regard, but I wanted to do more. Now I can and I feel good about it.
