It's been a long time since I laughed that hard at a House episode. (The raucous laughter was immediately followed by concern, fear, and finally sadness, but I'll take the laughs wherever I can get them.)

I'm not a huge fan of Amber, but I love how the writers use her to represent House's subconscious. She's always been labeled a female version of House so it makes sense in that regard, but I find it more interesting in that she is a direct link to Wilson (why not hallucinate Kutner - he was very similar to House as well, but in a nicer way). House even says that he probably hallucinates Amber because of his "secret, very subconscious desire to get Wilson in [his] bedroom". There have been multiple references to a H/W relationship, and though I know it's not going to happen, I'd love to see DS and KJ make a bold and risky move and explore this further.

Chase was absolutely adorable in this episode. Calling House evil, telling him that Cameron wouldn't approve so House needed to kidnap him, busting House (gently and humorously) when he saw him talking to himself in the gallery window, and letting loose at his bachelor party were such fun to watch (and a side of Chase we haven't really seen).

The bachelor party was totally made of win. We have House looking sexy in a smoking jacket, Taub looking uncomfortable and very tiny between two amazon strippers, Foreman actually looking like he was having FUN, a shitfaced Wilson doing blowjob shots off of Karamel and leaving the party without his pants (!), and all around general debauchery. That was a blast to watch! I LOLd a lot!

I got a total kick out of House and Amber in the bathtub, until...

dun dun duuuuun...

Awww, House. I refuse to believe that you really tried to kill Chase. You don't want Cameron, and I don't subscribe to the notion that you did it because you can't stand to see other people happy. If that were true, you'd have really fired either Thirteen or Foreman by now because it's more than obvious that you know they are still together.

Watching House lose it is heartbreaking. I don't know how I'm going to survive the next two episodes. Although I do love my House suffering emotionally and/or physically (mostly because I love to see Hugh in all his dramatic glory), it still kills me to watch it.

Favorite scenes:

- House setting the dead guy on fire and then amending his cause of death to include chemical burns!
- Kanye!House shaking his booty! (God, Hugh is adorkable!)
- Wilson's face when he opens his apartment door.
- Drunken Ducklings 2.0 sitting morosely on a gurney getting IV fluids to sober up (and breath mints from Cuddy).
- House stretching and groaning when he wakes up at the end of the show. I totally want to be in the bed next to him (under him or over him is good, too). Hugh makes waking up look and sound so sexy.

HUDDY SHIPPERS ON MY FLIST MAY NOT WANT TO READ FURTHER.

The promo for Under My Skin left me excited for next week and dreading it at the same time. I'm totally looking forward to seeing House's further decline into emotional hell, and some of the promo scenes look very intense.

However, I am most definitely NOT looking forward to what appears to be the Huddy sex scene. First off, I'm tired of this cat-and-mouse game. It has dragged on for far too long and it needs to be over, like, right now. Anyone who knows me knows I really despise what Cuddy has become over the past couple of years and I just want this whole mess to END. I've had more than enough of watching her pursuing him, dressing like a hooker and practically humping his leg every chance she gets, to get him to pay attention to her. I don't see the chemistry or the attraction here, and the two of them act more like siblings than lovers.

Worst of all, what the hell kind of woman would have sex with a man who's losing his mind???!! WTF is wrong with her? She's a doctor, for christ's sake, and should know better than to seduce or allow herself to be seduced by someone in this kind of emotional state. If House was a teenager, I'd be calling her a pedophile. At the very least she's a sexual predator, taking advantage of someone who's in no shape to make intelligent decisions on their own right now.

That said, it is possible that the entire sex scene is a figment of House's overtired and short-circuited imagination. (Please, please, please let it be a hallucination!) It may be wishful thinking, but when they have the "you want to kiss me" conversation in the promo, it looks like House starts to turn away at the very last second as he leans in to kiss her. (Is he just screwing with her head? Is he going to fall/faint/seize/pass out again? God, I hope so.)

The perverted voyeur in me, however, really wants to watch House have sex, even if it has to be with Cuddy. I hope it's better than the House/Stacy sex scene. I want to see the action, not the aftermath!

I love you. Agree soooo much. Happy!Foreman might be my new favorite thing. After pantsless!Wilson.

HE WAS WEARING NO PANTS!

But mostly I agree about the Cuddy= sexual predator thing. I've read some (very good, some not as good) fics about Wilson as a sexual predator, but none about Cuddy. Of course, the PTB will probably pass it off as "original" or "appropriate for the characters" or "House-like" instead of what it actually is, which amounts to rape (ymmv, but it will freak me out if it does.)

Of course, none of this matters if the whole thing is a hallucination.

Hee. Rightbackatcha!

I hope we get to see more of Happy!Foreman. He was so much more interesting before this season. I also really wish we could've seen Pantsless!Wilson roaming the neighborhood looking for his "House"! Getting arrested, though, is not so cute.

I hope that the scene is part of a hallucination. If not, I hope TPTB don't try to explain it away or dismiss it. It isn't appropriate under any circumstances, and if a man did it he'd be in jail for it.

Either way, it's still just icky.

"Babies and Bathwater" was on USA while I was staying in a hotel (my house doesn't get cable) and Foreman called Chase a "pussy" in the elevator and I was *shocked* to remember when Foreman used to be funny and interesting.

I even liked 14 in the strip club. What is wrong with me?

I don't know about arrested!Wilson not being cute. The man sure looks good in handcuffs...

*thinks dirty thoughts*
ext_121720: (Default)

[identity profile] everybodyliesmd.livejournal.com 2009-04-29 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Foreman definitely used to be much more funny and likeable. I don't know how or why he's turned into such a stiff, but I miss the old Foreman. Remember him and Chase making fun of Cameron's crush on House? The whole "men are pigs" scene? There are more, but I'd have to go over the episode guide to list them, and I'm too lazy at this time of night.

Foreteen is so much more enjoyable now that they aren't the focus of each and every minute of each and every show. Thank God TPTB listened to the fans and stopped shoving Foreteen down our throats.

Wilson in handcuffs and nothing else is a nice mental image, especially if it's taking place in House's bed and there's a naked House involved.

*thinks dirty thoughts along with you*

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I pretty much agree with everything. Copying and pasting some of an email I sent to someone else, because I'm lazy.

I refuse to believe House wanted to kill Chase or that he'd be threatened enough by his happiness to want to end it that way.

I loved House saying "by the power of grayskull..." and then dropping the glass and setting fire to the room. I love flustered House.

I liked the scene where House tried the ice cream out on his team and they were so game, they just dug right in. I don’t think they realize how much they “get” him, even if they’d prefer to believe otherwise.

I also liked the scene where Chase told House he’d have to kidnap him. Although I find it interesting that Amber is supposed to be his subconscious and seems to be wrong about a number of things, like what other people are thinking and why. Maybe she’s not his subconscious after all.

I loved House being so friendly with Chase. But then hiding in the bathroom, because just that small amount of social exposure was more than he could handle.

But honestly, the show has jumped off the edge of ridiculous and is now swimming with crack. This episode was like watching a crack fic.

Chase going into anaphylactic shock from body butter, when most of those are flavored artificially, was just medically ridiculous. Usually even when the butter is flavored specifically, it contains none of the actual product. I know this, because I am allergic to bananas and the edible body gel that’s banana flavored contains no banana.

Wilson embarrassing himself at the party surprises me not. What surprises me even less is that Wilson takes no responsibility for his actions, or whatever actions any of House's past parties have resulted in, and sees them only as a result of House's influence and not his own choices.

The promo made me want to retch. Cuddy's desperation has reached a criminal level. She sickens me. Everything you already said, because I'm too tired to reiterate. Sexual predator, taking advantage, yadda yadda yadda.

Well that's two episodes left to give us some real House Wilson dialogue, in which they discuss something meaningful. Tick tick tick. Doubt it will happen. Losing interest in this show.

[identity profile] primarycolors92.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't be so hard on Wilson- I'm SURE he's just resentful that House hasn't gotten him drunk and taken advantage of him yet.

I know I sure am... yeah. Is it just me, or is GoingCrazy a really good look on Hugh?

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually I thought I was being rather easy on Wilson there. He doesn't take responsibility for anything. That's why he's so attracted to House. House will take the fall. House is willing to get caught and take the blame.

Going crazy is a sad look on Hugh and if this gets anymore depressing, I'm going to drown myself in a bowl of cornflakes.

[identity profile] primarycolors92.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
NO! Not the cornflakes!

The show is getting super-depressing, in a I-laugh-so-I-don't-cry kind of way.

And I was just kidding about not being too hard on Wilson. I just wanted to make silly shippery comments. :)

Did you notice a spot on HL's beard that was completely white? Greying hair would make a lot of sense, considering the suckness that is House's life.

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I personally find the grey beard sexy. It needs to be kissed.

As someone who grew up watching He-Man, the "by the power of greyskull" moment was my personal favorite.

[identity profile] primarycolors92.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Ummm, you got me there. I have no idea what you're talking about.

And every part of House needs to be kissed. Just not by Cuddy. She has cooties. And possibly an STD from all the sex she's had by attracting men with her inappropriate clothing.

Actually, I take that back. I think the show has tried to show us that Cuddy DOESN'T have sex, because she is madly in luv with House and keeping herself pure for him.
Cuddy is gross.

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I think House got it exactly when he told her that she longs to have someone throw themselves on her and tell her that they love her ONE GRUNTED SYLLABLE AT A TIME.

She just. I don't know. She's icky. If she wasn't so desperate, it wouldn't be the same. She dresses so...ugh. I just feel embarrassed for the actress.

[identity profile] primarycolors92.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you kidding? The actress freakin' loves the whole thing!

Which is just scary.

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Which is why I'm embarrassed for her. Just like I'd be for a 13 year old girl who dressed like a hooker and thinks all the older boys REALLY LIKE HER FOR WHO SHE IS!

[identity profile] primarycolors92.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Awww. My friend used to be that girl. Now she's the 17 year old girl who acts like a hooker, and knows that all the boys just want to get into her pants.

You'd think that LE would, I don't know, GET IT that her outfits are wildly inappropriate for the character, and the character's job, and make Cuddy a fucking joke. I can't imagine a single employee in that hospital has a single ounce of respect for her.

I saw someone post some pics LE did for a French "men's magazine" (which is apparently soft-core porn for wimps) and I was like... what? I get that she's attractive, but why would she possibly feel the need to pose in suggestive undies for a French magazine? What does she get out of that? Maybe (okay, definitely) I'm naive, but I don't see how doing that helps out her career. I just don't get it.

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I can only assume she has no respect for herself. JM and OW manage to be sexy without dressing or acting like hookers.

And the men on the show manage to as well.

[identity profile] primarycolors92.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, hell yeah they do!

*drools over the men on the show*

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
It just cracks me up how she's always LOOK AT ME! And doesn't seem to realize that most people think she's a hooker.

[identity profile] primarycolors92.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
But people don't look at her, they look at her boobs and ass. Which I guess are part of her, but still it's wildly demeaning.

And men are pigs, etc., but I can't blame them when she dresses like that.

It's like, how can anyone be THIS self-unaware? And then I look at Wilson and I'm like, Oh. Yeah. That guy. :(

Although I will say, I think RSL is looking mighty fine recently, expecially for a new daddy.

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I actually don't think RSL is looking very good right now. His haircut makes him look like a dork. He seems to be losing weight, but still maintaining the double chin. Season one and two RSL was hot.

[identity profile] primarycolors92.livejournal.com 2009-04-29 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Really? I love the dorky look. I find it irrestible!

But yes, seasons one and two were prime hotness seasons for Wilson/RSL.

That's an interesting point about the double chin. Why won't it disappear??

The fact that RSL being a father makes him more attractive to me... makes me uncomfortable.

The fact that RSL being a father makes him more attractive to me... makes me uncomfortable.

Why does it make you uncomfortable? I'm just curious, because things like that always make me more comfortable. Imagining RSL or HL home, being a Dad and playing with the kid(s) makes me all warm and fuzzy, and makes them so much more sexy. I just melt when I see guys holding babies (all those pictures of Hugh holding babies or posing with the kids who have guest starred on the show make me want to hug him even more). Being a Dad makes them more real and more human.

[identity profile] primarycolors92.livejournal.com 2009-04-29 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe it's just because HL has kids who are older than I am, and RSL could MAYBE be my parent, it seems weird to me.

Pish and tish, as Stephen Fry would say.

Age is a state of mind. Though I get where you are coming from (but from the opposite side; I'm Hugh's age), try not to think about them that way. I ogle and drool over gorgeous guys your age, but since it isn't and never will be real (and therefore, illegal), I don't let the age thing bother me.

A gorgeous man is a gorgeous man. There is no age limit.

[identity profile] primarycolors92.livejournal.com 2009-04-29 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
There are gorgeous guys my age!? Care to point them my way? Hee- I love making fun of teenage boys. It's my favorite hobby!

You make good points, and I no longer feel like a creep.

I love making fun of teenage boys. It's my favorite hobby!

Most teenage boys deserve to be made fun of (and that goes for college age boys, too)!! They are a completely different species than the rest of us. LOL

The cute ones need to just stand still and keep their mouths shut, because once they start talking and moving around it ruins everything. (Just kidding!)

You make good points, and I no longer feel like a creep.

Good, because you are certainly not a creep. You are a very normal young woman that has great taste in men!

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-29 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think it has anything to do with weight. My sister is skinny and has that same chin issue. It's inherited.

Though he was REALLY hot in the first two seasons!

JM and OW are always dressed respectably. Lisa Edelstein, however, ends up on "Go Fug Yourself" and other worst dressed lists all the time. Not only does she always seem to be stuffed into or falling out of her clothes, her fashion sense SUCKS. In RL, she wears the fugliest shit I've ever seen.

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Thing is, she's plenty attractive. She doesn't need to have her tits hanging out. I was embarrassed for her in "All In" when House said her breasts don't match. By the look on her face, it was like she had a glimmer of realization that she'd worn the dress, hoping to get House OR Wilson's attention, or really anyone who might look at her.
ext_121720: (Default)

[identity profile] everybodyliesmd.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I hated her in All In. Absolutely HATED her. First off, she blew off a SICK LITTLE KID to play poker. Secondly, she was overly obnoxious (IOW, her usual whorish self) during the poker game. Thirdly, she had the nerve to get pissed off at House for taking the case.

Uh, Cuddy? IF IT WERE UP TO YOU THE POOR KID WOULD BE DEAD!!!

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah I've seen no evidence of her medical education either.

Just how the f*ck did she get that job is what I want to know.

Or maybe I should be asking "Who did she f*ck to get that job?"

I loved House saying "by the power of grayskull..." and then dropping the glass and setting fire to the room. I love flustered House.

And that scene, right there, is the reason Hugh is the best person to play House. His sense of humor and comedic timing are an integral part of House's character.

Yeah, you're right there. There are, like, eleventy hundred writers on this show; you'd think that one of the several women (including KJ herself) would've spoken up to let the two guys who wrote this ep (IIRC) know that this is crap. Unless....they did know and this is somehow woven into House's hallucinations/delusions.

Wilson embarrassing himself at the party surprises me not. What surprises me even less is that Wilson takes no responsibility for his actions, or whatever actions any of House's past parties have resulted in, and sees them only as a result of House's influence and not his own choices.

I thought the same thing at the time it happened. It was so typical of Wilson to blame House for the stupid things he did at House's shindigs. OTOH, it was minor as far as Wilson's blames and/or denials go, and didn't bother me as much as it usually does.

Have you seen the caps and commentary by [livejournal.com profile] theunknownsoul at [livejournal.com profile] house_wilson yet? Absolutely hysterical. This one struck me as particularly funny:

Thirteen: "Being drunk doesn't change you it just reveals who you really are."
[livejournal.com profile] theunknownsoul: So... Wilson takes off his pants and wanders off to find his "House"?
...sounds about right.

Well that's two episodes left to give us some real House Wilson dialogue, in which they discuss something meaningful.

Looks like, despite the Cuddy scenes, that there may be a lot of H/W next week. Here's hoping, anyways.

Just throwing this out there:

Who's hands do these look like to you?
Image

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that's the patient and her BF? Definitely a woman's hands. Foreman's hand on the other side?

I've been meaning to check out UKS's screencaps. But I hate waiting for all the images to load. Dial-up, you know.

ext_121720: (Default)

[identity profile] everybodyliesmd.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
It's just an odd photo because if that's Foreman, then he's wearing a gold ring on his ring finger. And I thought the ballerina's hands were gross because her skin was falling off and they might have to amputate both hands and feet.

Hm. Just wondering. I can't get close enough to the wristband to see if there is a name on it. I saw someone on another comm ask the same question, but I haven't gotten back there to see the answers.

[identity profile] californiaquail.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Foreman wears rings. But I thought they were silver. Maybe it's a friend, or a family member or a coach or something.

[identity profile] 2801rosie.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree with everything you said. I laughed so hard last night. When House set the dead guy on fire I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard. Pantless Wilson was hysterical. I love the way they did it. And Chase was so sweet when he told House he had to kidnap him.
I have to get the bits post up, I know we will have some good ones this week.

I also agree with you on the Huddy. I really don't see the chemistry. I did in the first, maybe the second but I really think it is a stupid move on TPTB.
And I really hate the way they represent a professional woman. The clothes she wears, the shit she did to House a while back. I didn't find it cute in the least. People compared it to what Wilson did to House when they lived together. Well Wilson and House are friends and peers. She is the boss, she is supposed to be above that. I just cringed.

I'm sure the last episodes are going to be intense but I hope the season ends on a happy note. I HATE clifthangers!!!

Pantless Wilson was hysterical. I love the way they did it.

RSL rocked this scene! As someone on another comm said, RSL is a great dramatic actor, but he really missed his calling to do comedy. I think he's a funny, funny guy. His conversations with House are comedic genius.

I don't know how TPTB can look at her and say "Now THERE'S a competent and respected woman!". I don't know how anyone can take her seriously when she dresses and acts like a hooker. And I'm not being hard on her because she's a woman; no one would take Wilson seriously if he started unbuttoning his shirt to his navel and shaking his ass all over the place, either.

DS and KJ are going to be making a big mistake if they don't end this bullshit storyline soon. I love the show and I will never stop watching as long as Hugh is on it, but there are a lot of people who are getting tired of it and are talking about not watching any more.

I don't think there's going to be any happy endings this season. I think it's going to be heartwrenching and terribly sad.

Poor House. My heart goes out to him.

[identity profile] chocolate-frapp.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't enjoy the party scene one bit. I couldn't give a rat's ass about some chicks in bikinis because I like guys, and Jeeves should have shown up and forced Hugh to get rid of that ugly ass jacket.

Really? You didn't find Wilson funny or find Chase adorable or smirk at Taub's discomfort? Youd didn't think it was nice to see Foreman smiling, laughing, and enjoying himself?

I just ignored the strippers (although some of them were beautiful), because if there's a bachelor party, there will be strippers. It's like a guy rule or something.

And I know a lot of people compared House to Hugh Hefner in that smoking jacket, but I thought he looked good in it. Not too many people can wear smoking jackets without looking like a pimp.

Jeeves. hee

[identity profile] chocolate-frapp.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Chase was cheating. he didn't deserve to go into anaphylactic (sp?) shock but I don't think that's adorable. I couldn't care less about anything that happens to Taub because he bores me, and I hate 13, I have no clue what Foreman sees in her. That whole scene was all about the strippers, ignoring them was like going to the beach and ignoring the water.
